Out of the tens of thousands of pots I have made in my life, these two pitchers are at the top of the list. Not only do I love making these forms, these two in particular are about as close to perfect as I could ever hope for.
Fired for approximately 90 hours in the summer firing of 2014, the effects of the wood kiln are hard to beat. No glaze was applied to these pieces, all of the results are from the flame and ash accumulation. Both are now in happy new homes, but I will never forget unloading these from the kiln.
