After graduating in 2005, I moved to Chicago to begin a different chapter in my life. While clay was not at the center of life, I did find ways of staying involved with the ceramics community. I taught night classes at local pottery studios, but found the I was missing the creative process more and more.
In 2010, I decided to move back to clay full time. I began teaching at the University of St Francis and working as a studio potter in any spare time I could find. After a few years of teaching, I felt I was ready to make the jump to being a full-time studio artist.
I moved back to Indiana in August of 2012 with my partner, Anna, and set up a studio at our home just outside of Goshen. I am happily making work each day in the shop and couldn’t be happier making a living as a studio potter.
